The four months that passed after our Halloween show mark the time where my friends and I decided that Goosethumps should be much more than a single event. We knew so many under-recognized DJs and producers in Chicago aside from ourselves. We were going to take the model we proved last October and bring it to the artist community at large.

In January 2020, we introduced the world to the Goosethumps collective, explained our mission, and unveiled our iconic "G" logo. This would be our first event, officially, as Goosethumps.

For the show, we decided to fill the talent bill with our in-house team one last time to make sure we maxed out attendance and had a pair of spectacular events to boast in our outreach to new artists. The venue was Sub 51, a classy bottle-service nightclub below the famous Hub 51 restaurant in River North. A sophisticated space to make a striking impression for our new company.

My team and I promoted the show, secured branded decals and long-sleeve tees, and had 120 attendees in a nearly sold-out shebang that let everyone know Thumps is here to stay.
